Dr. Shervin Razavian is a board-certified anesthesiologist with Anesthesia Associates of Kansas City (AAKC), committed to providing safe and high-quality anesthesia care to his patients. He practices at several hospitals in the Kansas City metropolitan area. Prior to joining AAKC, Dr. Razavian completed his anesthesiology residency at The University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, KS, and medical school at the University of Nebraska College of Medicine in Omaha, NE. He holds a BS in biology with a minor concentration in economics from George Washington University in Washington, DC.
Throughout his training and career, Dr. Razavian has been involved with numerous medical research projects, many of which have been published in medical journals, textbooks, and presented both locally and internationally. He has been a staunch advocate for safe and effective patient care, utilizing his background as a United States Senate and Congressional intern to discuss healthcare policy with local and national representatives. Dr. Razavian remains devoted to the future of medicine by working with numerous high school and college students interested in pursuing medicine as a career and serving as a preceptor for several medical students interested in anesthesiology. He cares deeply about his community and serves on the board of several hospital committees and local organizations. His commitment to outstanding patient care has been recognized in the form of numerous awards and patient testimonials.
Dr. Razavian was born and raised in Lincoln, NE. He and his wife, Dr. Jana Kortje, are ardent supporters of both the University of Nebraska and Cornhusker athletics. In his free time, he enjoys working out and spending time with his wife, daughter (Elika), and chocolate lab (Lindti).
