Anesthesia Associates of Kansas City (AAKC), seeks a full-time Payment Poster to join our team. The Payment Poster is responsible for posting payments to customer accounts electronically and manually.
Responsibilities:
- Process files for upload to customer accounts, using Adobe (Merger/Splitter), Excel, Word
- Contact insurance companies to request customer EOB
- Review EOB and post payment appropriately
- Process and post credit card payments
- Post large remits manually and balance
- Research and take initiative to solve discrepancies
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2 years’ medical billing experience, preferably in anesthesia or pain management
- Familiarity with medical terminology, coding, billing and collections practices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe PDF Merger and Splitter
- Excellent communication skills
- Attention to detail, organized, service focused
- Strong computer skills in MicroSoft Office suite applications
